What is a masquerade?
A masquerade is an amateur costume competition. Anyone can present a costume on stage in one of two ways:
Skit: A short performance featuring a staged performance that showcases the costume and provides entertainment value.
Walk-on: A presentation where costumed individuals enter the stage, pose in the center of the stage to showcase different angles of their costume, and then walk off stage.
How to participate?
- First, read the rules.
- Register by filling out the form when it becomes available. It will only ask for basic information.
- In the following days, you will receive a confirmation email. If you receive it, your spot in the Masquerade is guaranteed.
- By completing your online registration, you agree to participate. If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us as soon as possible.
- If the number of online registrations exceeds the number of available spots, we will place you on a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you by email.
- Judging slots will be sent 14 days before the convention.
- Seven (7) days before the Masquerade, we will email those on the waiting list to confirm their interest in the last-minute spots. From that point on, we will only contact those who have responded.
If some people haven’t responded, we’ll fill the remaining spots on Saturday morning on site. (Time to be determined) - There will be 60 entries.
