G-Anime is one of the biggest  anime festivals in Quebec. The festival is recognized for its high-quality content rivaling the largest festivals of its kind in Canada. This is an event organized by fans, for fans.

No, actually, screenings are just a small part of the festival. We offer several fan panels and numerous large-scale events such as concerts, not to mention content related to manga, cosplay, video games (retro and new), and geek culture in general.

Yes, we are a bilingual festival where you will find panels and activities in both languages ​​as well as translation for major events such as the masquerade.

Yes, children are welcome; If they are 12 years old or younger, their entry is free, but they must be accompanied by an adult. We do have 18+ content, but it is always late at night and this is clearly displayed on the schedule. In addition, security members will be at the entrance to these activities to verify the age of participants.

Yes, the Palais des Congrès is located in a federal government building, there will be no problem for people with reduced mobility to get around the convention. The entire festival site is 100% accessible.

Suggestions are always extremely appreciated, however given several factors such as the availability of artists and associated costs we cannot guarantee to achieve your request. But we are grateful for your participation in the success of the festival by suggesting artists who are close to your heart.

Yes, G-Anime is proud to be an inclusive festival accessible to its entire community. However, it is important that the animal wears its service animal harness and has been trained by a competent authority. Ex: Mira, Dog Psy to name a few and have the card on them.

Tickets, hotel and parking

The price for the pre-registration weekend badge is equivalent to the price of a Saturday badge at regular price.

Unfortunately, no, the tickets are final sale and non-refundable. However, you can try contacting the finance department, but refunds are not guaranteed. Contact finance@ganime.ca.

At the « Maison du Citoyen »
Cost: Free (Friday after 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday all day)

The entrance is located on Hôtel-de-Ville street, on your right, just after turning the corner on Laurier street. The entrance is not very visible and it is easy to miss.

«Palais des congrès de Gatineau »

Cost: $14 per day or $5 per hour.
You can also use the official parking at Palais, accessible from Courcelette Street.

«Place du centre»
Cost: Similar to those of the Palais.

Place du centre’s parking lot is covered as it is at street level, but under the portage complex. Perfect for those who don’t want to shovel snow from their car after the convention.
